Five Tips for Creating an Entrepreneur Day Submission

The Intuit Entrepreneur Day team is looking for companies that have the right stuff. So, here are a few tips to help you create a submission that will win you a spot at Entrepreneur Day.

 1. Don’t just tell, show.

Intuit is committed to improving the financial lives of its more than 50 million customers.  Your submission should make it clear that your product is relevant to Intuit’s business, its mission and its customers. Don’t just tell us; show us how your product is a fit for Intuit in your submission with graphics, demos and other visuals.

 2. Focus on what’s unique.

In addition to focusing on how your idea relates to Intuit’s business, answer:

  • What customer problem does your idea solve?
  • What’s unique about it that other solutions don’t have?

3.  Get specific.

The more specific and detailed you are with your submission, the better we will understand your business and which Intuit business leaders you should meet at Entrepreneur Day.

4.  Don’t get caught up in creativity.

Creativity can help call attention to your submission, but avoid spending lots of time on writing cute titles and puns.  You are competing with a ton of other applicants and you want your submission to be taken seriously.

5. Check your spelling and grammar before submitting.

Avoid making any spelling or grammatical errors.  Although it may seem rather elementary, you’d be surprised how often these easily avoidable errors appear.

Good Luck! If you have any questions, please let us know in the comments section below and we will get back to you shortly!
