On Friday May 18, Intuit completed the acquisition of Demandforce. This transaction expands Intuit’s software-as-a-service products for small and medium-sized businesses.
Why did we acquire Demandforce? Because it’s right in the sweet spot of the small business customers we serve. Demandforce has created innovative solutions to help small businesses retain and acquire customers. They also help customers build and maintain an online reputation and raise their profile with local consumers. We are excited to be adding a company that shares in our goal of helping small businesses save and make money.
Industry analysts responded favorably to the Demandforce acquisition, posting positive commentary about Intuit’s push into a new market.
With the deal closed, Demandforce becomes a division in Intuit’s Small Business Group led by its current president and founder Rick Berry. Rick reports to Kiran Patel, executive vice president and general manager, Intuit Small Business Group. Both executives talked about joining forces.
