The Amazing Light
No light bulbs? No problem. Run out of batteries? Don’t worry about it. UVPaqlite has a glowing idea to keep you out of the dark.

UVPaqlite’s owner, Steve Nagel, created a glow in the dark light source that replaces the need for lighting while outdoors, during power outages, and more.

UVPaqlite is a family business dedicated to bringing a new light source to people around the world. Their amazing lights do not require batteries, bulbs, electricity, fuels, or mechanical parts. They glow all night long and can be used over-and-over again forever, while also being environmentally friendly.

“I grew up in a family of entrepreneurs and my dad was responsible for inventing golf balls and golf clubs,” said Alexis Nagel, the owner’s daughter. “I have always liked glow in the dark stuff and it was an area where we saw an opportunity for our family to start a business.”

But UVPaqlite is a relatively unknown product – even to outdoor enthusiasts. The product can be used by outdoor enthusiasts to light up a tent while camping, or for the stay-at-home adventurer to light up a room during a power outage.

Alexis Nagel works tirelessly to create an innovative demonstration at the various expos to tell those stories. Check out the recent video:

What started out as a product developed for porta potties has turned into many other uses including fishing, camping and biking (to name a few). One of the best things about them is that they never die. Their glowing capabilities will not diminish over time, unlike those cell phone batteries. They will charge and glow the same today as they will 30 years from now.

GoPayment shining bright
A major tool that has increased their sales is Intuit’s GoPayment. At expos and events, customers often run out of cash buying various products and services. And in the past that might have lead to lost sales. But not anymore.

Credit card terminals, Internet access and other monthly expenses isn’t something small business owners often have and are often too pricey. Now her company doesn’t have to worry about that and she can just accept credit card payments as long as she has her phone on her.

“We have been using GoPayment since August and we absolutely love it,” said Nagel. “When we are at expos and tradeshows we can accept credit cards on the spot and that leads to more sales.”

Not only has it been a beneficial tool for their business but their customers as well. GoPayment allows customers to sign their name directly on Alexis’s iPhone and they receive their receipt through an email. It’s that added sense of security that helps the business continue to grow.

And Alexis is constantly thinking about ways to get the word out.

“I always make sure to have tooblites and scooblites with me wherever I go,” said Nagel. “While I was in Seattle I had people inquire about them since I some clipped on my backpack. I was able to sell them on the spot.”

By using mobile tools, talking to people and marketing their product there are a lot of opportunities for UVPaqlite to sell their products.

Check out to see if UVPaqlite will be coming to a town near you.
