Summary: Intuit shows its support for the small business community at the Association of Small Business Development Center’s annual conference.
Small Business Development Centers help entrepreneurs not only turn the lights on when starting out, but also offer assistance to make their futures better and brighter – which is why Intuit sponsored the annual Association of Small Business Development Center’s conference in New Orleans
“These centers are on the frontline of small business success, and they’re often the first call from businesses when they need help,” said Troy Marcyes, manager of customer relations and liaison with the ASBDC.
The event brings together more than 1,500 Small Business Development Center professionals, trainers, consultants, management and administrative personnel.
Illuminating Intuit’s brand
“The event was invaluable to increasing our visibility and inspiring customer loyalty in the small business community,” Marcyes said. In addition to Intuit’s name being plastered all over the convention center, Intuit’s Heather Kirkby, director of product management, gave the keynote for the event on cloud computing for small businesses. “The keynote was well received by attendees and that led them to visit our booth throughout the week to learn more about our products and services.”
Intuit also conducted five product workshops for counselors to attend:
• Introduction to QuickBooks Online; Navigating your customers to the cloud lead by Kevin Kirn
• Get Paid Using QuickBooks lead by Jeremy Milk and Amy Im
• QuickBooks Payroll – Pay Employees Anytime, Anywhere lead by MB Raimondi, Pro Advisor
• What’s New in QuickBooks 2013 & Ask the Expert lead by MB Raimondi, Pro Advisor
• Intuit App Center – Finding the Best Apps for Small Business led by Ronny Tey & Stacy Kildal, Pro Advisor
“We were thrilled to support the ASBDC at the event and to showcase the products we offer support to SBDC counselors in their quest to help small businesses succeed,” Marcyes said.” We will continue to nurture the relationship with the ASBDC and provide them with the proper training materials for our advanced product line.”
